BRISTOLMADE are an independent, zero waste company making 100% natural, organic, vegan skincare products in Bristol.

Your skin is the biggest organ on the body and healthy living isn’t just about what you put inside your body, it’s what you put ON your body too!

Lisa started what became BRISTOLMADE, after looking into the ingredients contained in sun screen she was using on her children’s skin. Many of the ingredient names she hadn’t heard of and couldn’t pronounce so what were they and were they harmful? The answer was yes, they were mainly harmful, this lead Lisa to look at the other skincare products we all used and it seemed many were full of water and ingredients she didn’t know. I then started playing around with some very basic ingredients and although the creams weren’t perfect, they were certainly affective. From there began a long process of getting to know all the plant butters and oils, how they worked together and then developing recipes that she was happy with. It was suggested by a family member that Lisa should start selling her creations and BRISTOLMADE was started!

BRISTOLMADE products are handmade, so there will be slight variations between batches which may affect product appearance, aroma and viscosity. All the products are uniquely created in-house and are handmade in small batches to maximise freshness and the performance of the ingredients.

The products are free from chemical stabilisers - if your product shows signs of separation, you can use a clean teaspoon to blend them again.

Please take care to store products below 25C and away from direct sunlight to improve the stability and preserve the ingredients.

All ingredients are whipped, not heated, which maintains their beneficial properties.

The products are truly natural as they only contain plant butters and oils with absolutely no synthetic stabilisers.

BRISTOLMADE products are also vegan, cruelty-free and zero waste. The products are packaged in glass, with aluminium lids, all are 100% recyclable and eco-friendly and don't use any plastic.

In the New Year BRISTOLMADE is applying for the vegan society accreditation.

I wanted to join Beyond Bamboo as the company ethos and world view is inline with ours.
