"People often ask why we wanted to start a business selling environmental products in the toughest economic environment, particularly while we are fortunate to have well paid day jobs. There are many reasons but one that stands out for us was during our honeymoon in 2019 we visited a dolphin sanctuary in Eilat. It was the first time we have got up close and personal to these wonderful animals, watching them happily swim about and play with the visitors. While we were enjoying the closeness between humans and animals, one of the guides told us about how so much marine life is threatened by plastic pollution. The scale is enormous and heart breaking, thousands of species of marine life are literally hanging on for survival and meanwhile the plastic waste in the ocean increases hourly. The current estimate is that a mountain of plastic waste the size of Texas floats menacingly in the Pacific Ocean causing destruction in its path.
