First up! Did you know...

Living Naturally Bicarbonate of Soda is a traditional cleaning product, renowned for its deodorising and 'gentle cleaning' properties. Bicarbonate of Soda is often mistakenly referred to as Baking Soda; although they are very similar, it hasn't got the raising agents required for baking!

Bicarbonate of Soda is extremely versatile and has a number of useful properties, and can be used for the following household tasks:

  • It can be used as a mild abrasive or scouring agent on shiny materials, as it cleans without scratching. It is suitable for use on aluminium, chrome, jewellery, plastic, porcelain, silver, stainless steel and tin.
  • Bicarbonate of Soda is an excellent deodoriser for the refrigerator, carpets, upholstery, vinyl, bins, drains.
  • It is a mild alkali so is effective for neutralising bee stings (Note- Wasp stings are alkaline and therefore should be treated with white vinegar and NOT Bicarbonate of Soda)
